It has been so great having nicer weather lately. We've taken full advantage of these sunny days by getting out and exploring some nearby parks. Above is a picture of Snoqualmie Falls, it doesn't really speak to the sunny days, but I thought it was cool. Jeremy and I stopped really quickly on our way home from visiting my Sister's family and their new baby.
We recently implemented a new family day. Every Wednesday Jeremy comes home early and we spend the extra time together. This past week we met at Bellevue Park where Jeremy and I went for a quick run. After our run we walked to MOD Pizza and got takeout which we took back to the park for a family picnic. Ashlyn loves picnics! She also loves to push her stroller.
The park is so much fun!!!
Ashlyn has been giving lots of kisses lately. It melts our hearts!
Later in the week we went to explore a new park with my Sister and her kids. Ashlyn loved the kid sized picnic table.
Leah and Ashlyn hanging out with their Daddies at Alki Beach while the Mommies ran in the West Seattle 5k race. They are the cutest cheering section ever!
Kristin and I headed towards the finish line. Woohoo!!
Posing by the finish line. Our finish time was 36:24. I was very happy with our time considering this was my first ever 5k race. I'm definitely looking forward to my next race.
Ashlyn and I headed out to Farrell McWhirter Park in Redmond yesterday. She looks so cute in the adorable sweater that my mom knit for her.
This park has a small farm on it. Ashlyn LOVES animals so I knew she would love this park. Here she is peeking into the pen that contained a cow, two turkeys, two sheep, and two goats. She was in heaven.
One of the cute goats posing for a quick picture.
Ashlyn enjoying a nature walk at Farrell McWhirter Park. They had lots of great trails. I wished they'd had a play structure, but the animals and trails kept us busy enough.
They also have the cutest little pig who came running up to the fence when she heard us coming. She was grunting and being silly. Ashlyn loved it!
This picture has nothing to do with our sunny day adventures but I had to include it. We bought Ashlyn her first ever big girl pj's. She absolutely loves wearing this cute Tinker Bell gown. This is her this morning right after she woke up. I love her crazy bed head!
